'Seize The Day' are a vibrant and energetic young band who I had the fortune of watching perform at Cleckheaton Folk festival. They were lost on the 200 or so folkies in the town hall venue but they gave a professional and entertaining performance nevertheless.
Most of their songs have been written by the leaders Theo and Shannon.
It all started back during the road protest days of the late nineties: Theo met Shannon, and they began to make beautiful music. They’ve been described as the voice of the environmental movement, protesting, campaigning and playing to audiences big and small ever since.
Seize The Day walk their talk, and can often be found up trees, chained to gates, marching (and writing very strong letters to their local MP), as well as playing at festivals, town halls or benefit gigs across Britain. I might not agree with the protesters tactics on the ground at times and the "polished sincerity" on the stage I thought was a little un-necessary (taking yoga stances, passing the love vibe etc.)but there is no denying the talent and entertainment value of this unique band.

Curiously I couldn't find many concert clips on Youtube but this one pretty well sums up what they represent....
